My Growth Mindset Project
This year we had the opportunity to learn a new skill within a two week period. This project was called Growth Mindset, where we were learning if you apply yourself, and give your hours and time you can learn or improve in that skill. We were able to choose whatever skill we wanted, the only requirement was recording it somehow and putting in at least 20 hours.
I decided to learn how to paint a mural. I chose this topic because I wanted to expand my artistic and creative side, and challenge myself with a different skill I had zero experience on. The impact it had on me, was inspiring me to continue developing this side of me and planning a new mural. I continued to plan murals, however never painted any because I didn't have the supplies. It was applicable to math, because I didn't know anything about painting murals, but I learned through trial and error. I learned things not to do for the next mural, and tips to do. I can use this same mindset when it comes to approaching unknown math concepts.

Problem Struggle
I would say a problem I faced this year was during the cow problem. A clear, project description and process of solving it is under my 11th grade math, under Cow Problem. It was such a unique problem for me, with concepts I was familiar with, but in ways I didn't recognize, I didn't know HOW or WHERE to apply them.
That was what was such a struggle for me. I knew the formulas to all the shapes we had to use, but where do I use them? It was frustrating for me, but I grew from it. I learned that math can and is all about creativity. You need to be able to apply imagination and creativity to these problems.

Content Struggle
Content that I struggled with. Honestly, there were aspects to every new content we were introduced that challenged me. However another struggle that stands out to me is creativity. I discovered this year, math is creative and the best mathematicians are creative geniuses. You have to think outside the box.
I always though of myself as a creative person, artistically. However, regarding math I definitely am not. This is area im motivated to grow in math.

Growth This Year
I believe Junior year I grew immensely, more than any year. This was caused by the heavy work load, incredible projects and my internship. I even got a job at Trader Joe's and balancing all this, and being forced to develop a better time management lifestyle. This is evident through my new work ethic and more.
Future Math Plans
I plan to take calculus next year as a senior. I made this decision because I want to challenge myself, and I love calculus.
Success Plan
To be successful next year as a senior, I'm gonna get a notebook . This is weird, but I didn't have a notebook this year and It was really foolish. A notebook would improve organization, and overall my work.
